PROGRAM I: CERTIFIED PROSEARCHER™ TRAINING (Tues / Wed)
This intensive 2-day program introduces professional patent searchers to Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) search technology, and covers all of the software features and functionality of PatentCafe's ProSearch™ software solution. An introduction to Patent Competitive Patent Intelligence Alerts is also included.
Second day training focuses on Applied LSA search techniques. Training covers the practical application of ProSearch™ to perform key search objectives: (a) patentability, (b) clearance, (c) invalidity, (d) enforcement / infringement / licensing, and real-time analytics. Hands-on training includes workshop time to allow attendees to apply the training to their actual cases.
PROGRAM II: CERTIFIED PORTFOLIO-XPERT™ TRAINING (Thur / Fri)
This powerful 2-day program introduces the portfolio manager to the Patent Factor Index Report qualitative patent analysis and statistical index scoring system, providing a comprehensive understanding of how index scores correlate to patent portfolio value.
During the second day, attendees apply the PFI Report scoring to a large patent portfolio, learning how to identify (a) highest value patents for licensing, (b) high risk patents within a portfolio (c) poor quality patents that should be pruned from the portfolio, and (d) advanced techniques of applying scores to support management decisions for R&D, M&A and patent strategy.
** Although not a prerequisite, Portfolio-Xpert™ attendees are strongly encouraged to obtain ProSearch™ Certification prior to Portfolio-Xpert training. |
